At just after two o'clock this afternoon (April 27) fire crews from Wells, Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet were called to a fire in Singleton Court in Wells.

The fire was in the kitchen of the property and crews used breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one safety jet, a thermal image camera and a bucket to extinguish the fire.

Everyone was accounted for.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
