Some of the biggest names in comedy are gearing up to head to the smallest city in England for the Wells Comedy Festival.

Organisers have already confirmed appearances from Phil Wang, Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Sikisa, Stephen Baily, Paul Foot, Mark Watson, John Robins and Chloe Petts and Richard Herring.

But this week, organisers have announced a live recording of Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast, Never Mind The Buzzcocks regular Jamali Maddix, triple threat Rosie Jones (Live At The Apollo, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Trip Hazard) and Britain's Got Talent finalist Nabil Abdulrashid will also be appearing.

A number of award winning and up-and-coming comedians are also on the bill, including Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Jordan Brookes, Chortle's Best Newcomer Celya AB and Funny Women Award Winner Thanyia Moore.

They are joining the likes of Lou Sanders, Sam Campbell, Jen Brister, Jess Fostekew, Chloe Petts, Sikisa, Stephen Bailey and a family show from musical duo Shelf.

The line-up has already proven to be popular - shows from Tim Key, John Robins, Phil Wang and Kiri Pritchard-McLean have already sold out, while extra shows added for Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Phil Wang.
