Lost in Blue at Croscombe Village Hall

"Lost in Blue" written & performed by Debs Newbold - Croscombe Village Hall – Sunday 12 March at 7.00pm

On her 18th birthday Annie becomes convinced that she's responsible for the accident that has left her father Paul in a coma for the last 15 years. Her mother Sarah is struggling to keep things together, her aunt Candy eats optimism for breakfast and her new friend Leonard talks mainly to pigeons.

Meanwhile, Paul is hiding out in the bedroom of Vincent Van Gogh, nursing his guilt while the clock ticks and his family begin to question how long the machines should keep him holding on.

References to drug taking and occasional adult language

In February 2022 Lost In Blue ran for two weeks at the Lion & Unicorn, London, garnering two prestigious award nominations: the OffWest End (OFFIE) Award for Lead Performance in a Play and a Standing Ovation Award.

"Lost in Blue" is brought to Croscombe by Somerset's rural touring charity Take Art and The Croscombe Frolics.

A night at the Opera

A Night at the Opera by Candlelight - Friday 10 March, Wells Cathedral 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. (Doors open at 6:45 p.m.)

The prolific London Concertante presents a sensational evening of the opera with an array of the finest opera arias and overtures at Wells Cathedral. Expect an incredible programme of works and compositions by Puccini, Verdi, Rossini, Mozart, and many more.

The UK-based chamber orchestra London Concertante are no strangers to a live concert, often performing up to and over one hundred concerts per year, making them the busiest ensemble of their kind nationally

Open Morning at Wells Cathedral School - March 11 – 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join the school for their open morning and see why so many people find Wells such a special place! There will be an introduction from Head Master Alastair Tighe, a tour of the School, the opportunity to be introduced to key staff and pupils and more.

Nina Kristofferson's Billie Holiday Story, New Wimbledon Theatre - Review - Everything Theatre

Coming up at the Bath and West Showground

Antique & Collectors Fair - 17th March - 19th March 2023

Admission: £10 from noon on Friday. Saturday and Sunday entry £5

The biggest antiques event in the West Country returns to the Bath & West Showground. Hosting 600 stands in the charmingly unique shopping venue, you can be sure to find something of taste and discover plenty of antiques, vintage and collectors items to take home with you!
