New escape room challenge coming to Wells
A brand-new escape room experience is set to open in Wells this February, bringing an exciting new attraction to the city.
Enigma Escapes, based at Wells Self Storage opposite Morrisons, hopes to launch its first themed challenge, "The Cluzu Tribe" later this month, transporting players into a mystical jungle adventure. Participants will have 60 minutes to solve puzzles, crack codes, and escape before the returning Cluzu Tribe catches them in their hidden temple.
The backstory places players in a race against time—for centuries, the Artifacts of the Cluzu Tribe have remained hidden deep in the jungle, but now they've been discovered. With the tribe on their way back and no tolerance for intruders, players must decipher ancient clues, retrieve the treasure, and escape before they are trapped forever.
The escape room has been custom-built from scratch, with every puzzle uniquely designed to provide a fresh challenge. The immersive jungle and temple setting has been carefully crafted to make players feel like they have stepped into another world. The game is designed for a minimum of two players, with a detailed introductory backstory to guide participants through their adventure.
Enigma Escapes is a family-run project, with the team behind it - Michelle Bateman and Rachand Doventon - bringing their love for escape rooms to Wells. Friends and family have been testing the experience to ensure every puzzle works seamlessly before the official launch. Future expansions are already in the works, with plans to introduce additional themed escape rooms in the coming months.
With puzzles to solve, codes to crack, and a high-stakes storyline, this immersive escape room promises a thrilling challenge for locals and visitors looking for something fun and different to do in Wells.
