Disability campaigners from the Accessible Wells action group have explained the meaning behind some "mysterious" marks which have appeared on local pavements.

Yellow marks on pavements across the city centre signal the start of drop kerb works to improve accessibility.

In total 18 locations have been identified.

Eight locations are earmarked in the "near future" and the remainder are scheduled for completion early next year.

"When completed this will make it much easier for wheelchair and mobility scooter users to travel across the city centre," Accessible Wells said.
