Wells is playing host to a vibrant array of activities this weekend, leaving locals spoilt for choice.

From folk music to disco nights and casual crafternoons, there's something to cater to every taste.

Kickstart your weekend on Friday, 8 September, with the choice of two enchanting musical performances. The Noble Jacks folk gig starts at 19:30 at Cedars Hall on The Liberty, promising a night filled with traditional tunes. Alternatively, immerse yourself in choral splendour with 'The Choral Pilgrimage 2023', beginning at 19:30 at Wells Cathedral.

Suppose you're in the mood for a night of glamour. In that case, the Autumn Dinner & Dance at The White Hart on Sadler Street awaits you on Saturday, 9 September, starting at 19:00. But the more unconventional party-goers might not want to miss the 90s Silent Disco, also on Saturday, kicking off at 20:00 at Wells Cathedral.

For those who'd rather enjoy the evening with some melodies, Frank Martino will be serenading audiences at The King's Head on High Street at 21:00 on the same night.

Come Sunday, 10 September, you'll find locals engaging in some leisurely arts and crafts at the Wells Crafters Club Sunday Crafternoon. Held between 14:00–16:00 at Bishop's Eye on Market Place, it promises to be a delightful way to unwind.

If you fancy a more relaxed end to your weekend, you can enjoy 'Coffee in the Village Hall' from 15:30 to 16:30 at St Michael's Church on Church Street in Dinder.

Lastly, as Sunday comes to a close, The White Hart on Sadler Street invites everyone for the 'Sunday sessions', featuring live music from 16:30 to 19:00, providing a perfect way to bid farewell to an eventful weekend.

Don't forget - Wells Film Centre will have all the latest releases, and even better, they've extended their £5 ticket offer until the 28th of this month.

Whether you're keen on rocking out or just looking to relax, Wells offers an assortment of events to keep you entertained throughout the weekend.
