Motorcyclist in his seventies injured in A371 collision near Wells

A motorcyclist in his seventies was taken to hospital after a collision with a van on the A371 near Wells.
The collision involved a white Triumph motorbike and a white Ford Transit on Bishops Park Way and was reported to police at 1.15pm on Thursday, 8 October.
The rider's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. No other injuries were reported.
The road was closed while emergency services responded and reopened at 7pm.
Avon and Somerset Police has now appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage, with officers particularly keen to speak to the driver of a lorry reported to have been nearby at the time.
