Missed out on Glastonbury tickets? Here’s how to help Wells skatepark and have some summer fun

With the gates to Glastonbury Festival now open, many are looking forward to a week of music and camping.
But if you didn't manage to get a ticket, there's still plenty going on closer to home — and a way to give back to the Wells community too.
The Wells Skatepark campaign is offering a host of summer treats as part of its latest Crowdfunder appeal, with every reward purchased going towards building a new space for local skaters.
Highlights include a Family Ticket for The Godney Gathering, taking place on Friday and Saturday, 18 and 19 July — available for half the usual price. Not a fan of camping? Enjoy a summer evening treat with 2 x Pizza for Two at the LOAF Bakehouse.
Gamers can pick up a reward from Insane Games Wells, offering a £10 voucher for just £5, or head out for adventure with special offers from the Mendip Activity Centre. Families can also save on entry to Wookey Hole or pick up a stylish bundle from Lost Projects or Maverick, while those looking to relax can treat themselves to a beautiful bedspread from Forever England.
Each reward goes towards supporting the Wells Skatepark campaign — an initiative that has already raised over £7,000 online, with direct donations, grants and community fundraising events bringing the total closer to an impressive £85,000.
The campaign is still looking for support to reach its target. To find out more, grab a reward, or make a donation, visit https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/skatewells.
If you'd like to connect or donate another way, you can get in touch by emailing [email protected].
With summer in full swing and momentum growing, this is a chance for Wells to come together and build a space that will benefit the whole community for years to come.
