Wells will once again host the popular 'Meet the Sikhs' event on Saturday, August 24th, offering animmersive cultural experience for the whole community.

Taking place on the Cathedral Green from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the event invites residents and visitors to enjoy a day filled with turban-tying demonstrations, lively Panjabi folk performances, and delicious free vegetarian food.

'Meet the Sikhs' provides an opportunity to learn about the rich Sikh culture and heritage. Attendees can also hear about the important work of the Sikh charity Khalsa Aid, which has provided vital support during global disasters and crises, including the 2014 flooding on the Somerset Levels.

In addition to learning about the Sikh community, visitors can also meet with local Rotarians to discover the various volunteering opportunities available throughout the year.
