Avon and Somerset Police are grateful to everyone in Wells who shared their appeal to trace John Finn.

Officers wanted to speak to him in connection with an assault in the city. Police found him earlier today, Monday 3 June, in the Axbridge area.

Officers arrested the 44-year-old as part of investigations into an incident in which a man in his 20s was assaulted at a house party.

The injured man remains in a stable condition in hospital following the assault in Priory Road, Wells, on Sunday 26 May.
