Large Vehicle Fire at Green Ore, Somerset

Date: 04.10.2019Time: 15:53Location: Green Ore, SomersetDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from a member of the public reporting a large vehicle on fire at the above location.
Two fire appliances from Wells and Shepton Mallet were immediately mobilised by Fire Control.On arrival, the Incident Commander confirmed that one large agricultural slurry sprayer was well alight in a field and requested the attendance of an 4 x 4 off road vehicle from Wells.
Crews got to work to extinguish the fire using one attack jet and one thermal imaging camera.The fire was deemed to have started accidentally.
