International Women's Day Fundraising Success!

By Guest 13th Mar 2025

Volunteers from Wells Amnesty International and Oxfam, stood in the Penniless Porch of Wells Cathedral during International Women's Day.

They gave out beautiful posies of flowers made in the colours of the suffragettes, and answered questions about the latest human rights campaigns.

Amnesty had 68 petition letters signed and raised over £70. It was a huge success.

The next meeting of Wells Amnesty International Group will be in The Globe Inn, Wells on Thursday 17th April from 2.30pm.

New members and casual volunteers always welcome.
