This weekend, Wells is a treasure trove of events that cater to every taste, from music and science fusions to outdoor adventures and culinary treats.

On Friday, 8th March, Cedars Hall will be echoing with the sounds of "Einstein's Music," a unique event that blends music with physics. Half concert, half lecture, it delves into the science in music and the music in science, featuring particle physicist Professor Brian Foster FRS and musicians Jack Liebeck and Katya Apekisheva. It's a journey through Albert Einstein's passion for music intertwined with his scientific legacy. Find out more here.

The following night, on Saturday, 9th March, the Wells and Mendip Astronomers invite you to "Messier Night" at Oakhill Village Hall. Starting with an introductory talk on Charles Messier, the evening promises (weather permitting) a celestial observation of the Messier objects. No experience is needed, and it's an ideal event for the whole family. More details can be found here.

Aside from these highlighted events, why not try an afternoon tea at The Loft within the Cathedral grounds. For those looking for a bit of action, the Wells Roller Disco is rolling out fun times on Friday, 18:30–20:00, at Wells Sport & Fitness. Punk enthusiasts can catch The Spanners performing punk classics at Tramways on Saturday evening. If you're in the mood for a hike, join the Hiking route in Wells starting from Whiting Way Car Park on Saturday.

Lastly, "The Glass Menagerie" will be performing from Wednesday, 6th March, through to Saturday at the Little Theatre.

Whether you're intrigued by the intersection of music and science, star-gazing, treating your mother, or simply looking to enjoy some local culture and activities, Wells has something to offer you this weekend.
