The Glastonbury Festival site is now in its final stages of preparation, as the gates to the world-famous event are set to open this Wednesday.

The team behind the festival has been working tirelessly to ensure everything is ready for the influx of festival-goers.

A festival spokesperson said: "We are incredibly excited to welcome everyone back to Worthy Farm. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity, and we can't wait for the gates to open on Wednesday."

Crews have been busy setting up stages, sound systems, and lighting, while vendors have been stocking their stalls with food, drink, and merchandise. Security teams are also in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Local resident John Matthews, who has been involved in the festival preparations for many years, commented, "Every year, it's amazing to see the transformation of the farm into a bustling festival site. This year is no different, and we're all looking forward to a fantastic event."

The festival, which draws music fans from around the globe, promises a diverse lineup of performers, ranging from internationally renowned artists to emerging local talent. In addition to the music, attendees can look forward to a variety of activities, including theatre performances, art installations, and wellness workshops.

With weather forecasts predicting a mix of sunshine and showers, festival-goers are advised to come prepared for all conditions. As always, the festival emphasises sustainability, encouraging attendees to reduce waste and use the recycling facilities provided throughout the site.

As the final touches are put in place, the excitement is palpable. Glastonbury Festival 2024 is set to be another memorable event, continuing its legacy as one of the world's most iconic music festivals.
