A Freecycle event is set to take place in Wells on Sunday 30 March, offering residents the chance to give away unwanted items and pick up preloved treasures – all without spending a penny.

The event will run from 1pm to 2pm in the Princes Road Bus Park, with access via Priory Road. Stewards will be in place from 12.30pm to help the event run smoothly.

Set up like a car boot sale but with no money changing hands, Freecycle aims to help people reuse items that might otherwise end up in landfill. Residents are encouraged to bring good quality items they no longer need and give them away for free.

Donors are asked to arrive between 12.45pm and 1.30pm, while those looking to rehome items can turn up any time after 1pm. Organisers are asking everyone to respect these timings to help with the flow of people on the day.

Although there is no set finish time, the event typically winds down by around 2pm once most items have found new homes.

For full details, including directions, visit the Freecycle Wells event page.
