Free Prostate Cancer Testing Event for Wells Residents: Book Your Spot

Men aged 40 and over in Wells are invited to participate in a free prostate cancer testing event hosted by the Somerset Prostate Support Association. In collaboration with The Brue Boys Choir and Glastonbury and Street Lions Club, the event will take place at Glastonbury Town Hall on Magdalene Street, BA6 9EL, on Sunday, 6th October 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

With prostate cancer affecting 40,000 men annually in the UK, and leading to around 10,000 deaths each year, early diagnosis is crucial. This event provides an opportunity for Wells residents to receive confidential testing by qualified medical practitioners.

How to Book Your Appointment

Testing appointments are 10-15 minutes long and must be booked in advance. Walk-in appointments will not be available on the day. To secure your spot, follow these steps:

  1. Visit mypsatests.org.uk/events.
  2. Register with your email address.
  3. Click "Find an event" and search for "SPSA."
  4. Select the event, scroll down, choose a convenient time slot, and book it.

All tests are confidential, and attendees will receive a thorough assessment from experienced healthcare professionals.

Additional Information

For questions about the tests, please contact Peter Hopwood at 01458 441669 or via email at [email protected].

Although the event is free, donations to the Somerset Prostate Support Association for future testing events are welcome. Donations can be made at the event or online at spsa.uk.
