First look at how Wells WH Smith will change as new brand moves in

It's official – WH Smith's days on Wells High Street are numbered, and planning documents have given locals a first look at what's coming next.
The store at 45-47 High Street is set to be rebranded as TGJones, after the entire WH Smith high street chain was sold to Hobbycraft owner Modella Capital for £76 million.
Now a planning application has been submitted for new signs, showing exactly how the new name will appear on the historic town centre shopfront.
The proposal includes a new fascia sign and two projecting signs, which the applicant says will "retain and enhance" the building's appearance.
In a statement, Blaze Business Signage Solutions said: "The signs are in-keeping with the design of advertisements on adjacent premises, so they will not appear incongruent with the area's visual amenity."
They added that the signs will be made from recyclable, industry-standard materials – and that the building's primary use won't change.
