Wells Cathedral is gearing up to provide families with an engaging and creative half-term holiday experience.

Inspired by the stunning Threads through Creation exhibition, the Cathedral will offer three days of craft activities designed to entertain and educate children and their families.

Participants can start by following a special family trail that takes them around the large-scale textile panels featured in the Threads through Creation exhibition. After this immersive experience, families are invited to join craft sessions in the Cathedral's Education Room on the following dates:

  • Monday, 23rd October: Make a mini felted Earth to decorate your home.
  • Tuesday, 24th October: Delve into the world of circular weaving or create a playful snake mobile.
  • Wednesday, 25th October: Stitch your own mini textile panel or build a colourful creature collage.

Kate Bridge, the Education Officer at Wells Cathedral, encourages families to join in on these crafty adventures. She notes that the sessions are not just fun but also educational, offering participants a way to engage more deeply with the artistic themes of the exhibition.

For more details and to secure your spot, you can book online at Wells Cathedral Holidays.

Walk-ins on the day of the activities will also be welcomed, subject to availability.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to have some creative family fun this October half-term at Wells Cathedral. Keep an eye on our website for more local happenings this holiday season.
