The Edinburgh Woollen Mill is set to reopen in Wells city centre, marking a return after a brief hiatus.

The new establishment, located at 9 High Street, is just a stone's throw away from its former site at 3 High Street, which shut down during the pandemic.

It is the property formerly occupied by Bon Marché.

The grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, February 15, and the first 20 customers to make a purchase will be greeted with an exclusive Edinburgh Woollen Mill goody bag. Additionally, surprise prizes will be hidden around the shop for customers to discover.

Kate Wasserman, the area manager, said: "We are excited to welcome visitors to our new store to explore our wonderful collections. It's going to be a great addition to Wells and the local retail mix."

Shoppers at the new location can look forward to browsing through some of Edinburgh Woollen Mill's most popular men's and ladieswear collections. These include Country Rose, Isle, Honor Millburn, James Pringle, and PG Field, alongside a comprehensive range of gifts and accessories.

Originally founded in 1946 as the Langholm Dyeing and Finishing Company Limited in the Scottish Borders, the Edinburgh Woollen Mill has grown into a well-known name, boasting around 200 stores nationwide. The brand has a presence in high street, tourist, and garden centre locations.
