Police in Wells are cracking down on drivers flouting a no-right-turn ban into College Way from Bristol Hill.

Officers say they acted after concerns surfaced on social media, prompting Somerset Council to repaint road markings at the junction to make the restriction clearer.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team is now carrying out extra patrols to monitor the area and deter offenders.

They say they'll keep watch and continue talking to locals about any further concerns.
