Wells Cathedral will host a special performance by South Africa's Drakensberg Boys Choir on 25 September as part of their "Hear Us Sing" UK tour.

Known as the Drakies, the choir is renowned for its unique blend of classical and Afro-Pop music. Their Wells concert will feature compositions by Carl Orff and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, alongside vibrant Afro-Pop rhythms and traditional African contemporary works.

Joining them for the performance will be the Wells Cathedral School and the Wells Cathedral Choristers, both highly regarded for their musical talent. Wells Cathedral School has previously been praised for its innovative recordings and will add to the night's diverse programme.

The event will raise funds for the Drakensberg Boys Choir's bursary fund, which provides talented boys with a unique education in music and the opportunity to perform on the world stage.

The concert will begin at 7pm, and tickets are available online for £20.21 via Eventbrite.

Wells Cathedral, a historic landmark known for its stunning architecture, will provide the perfect setting for this performance, as the Drakies bring their thrilling blend of genres to the city.
