Wells is gearing up for a unique festive display, as St Cuthbert's Church prepares to host an exhibition of over 200 crib sets from Friday, 8th December, to Sunday, 10th December. This event promises to add a special touch to the city's Christmas celebrations, inviting the community to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit.

Residents and visitors alike have a chance to be part of this celebration. Anyone interested can contribute their own crib set to the exhibition. To participate, simply bring your crib set to St Cuthbert's Church on Thursday, 7th December, along with a card detailing a few words about your set and your contact information on the back.

The event is not just about the crib sets. Local shops are joining in the festive spirit, offering interesting surprises to visitors. Adding to the Christmas cheer, local miniaturists will showcase their skills by creating intricate scenes depicting various Christmas carols.

The exhibition will be a feast for the senses with music, stars, and angels enhancing the festive atmosphere. Seasonal refreshments will also be available, adding to the feel-good factor of the event.

The timings for the exhibition are as follows:

  • Friday and Saturday: 10 am to 4 pm.
  • Sunday: 12 midday to 4 pm.

Admission to the event is £2.50 for adults, while children can enjoy the display for free.

This event is a perfect opportunity for families and individuals to come together, enjoy the festive decorations, and celebrate the holiday season in the heart of Wells.
