Wells is set to welcome a significant addition to its retail landscape as British lifestyle brand Crew Clothing announces plans for a full-time store in the city.

While the company didn't respond to an email asking for specifics on the location within the high street or the opening date, jobs for the new store are being advertised online.

The company is actively seeking staff to fill crucial roles, including a store manager who will be working 37.5 hours per week and sales advisors.

The new Wells store is part of Crew Clothing's aggressive expansion strategy, which aims to open 40 new stores in market towns and coastal resorts across the UK over the next three years.

David Butler, CEO of Crew Clothing, expressed optimism about the move: "There's plenty of evidence to suggest that people are shopping in stores again. Our footfall is back to pre-pandemic levels."

Founded in 1993 as a small menswear collection in Salcombe, Devon, Crew Clothing has evolved into a retail powerhouse.

Now boasting over 101 stores and 850 employees across the UK and Ireland, the company, owned by Brigadier Acquisition Company, shows no signs of slowing down.
