As autumn evenings grow crisp, Wells Cathedral is set to glow with more than just the light of its age-old candles.

Adding a touch of classic rock to its hallowed halls, the cathedral is hosting a series of 'Concerts by Candlelight' that promises to bring iconic anthems to life in a stunningly intimate setting.

First up, the night of 19th September kicks off with a tribute to the legendary band Queen. For three consecutive nights, attendees can relive the magic of Freddie Mercury and his bandmates as West End singers belt out anthems like 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'We Are the Champions,' all set to the backdrop of flickering candlelight. Tickets are available exclusively online and offer limited 'screen view only' seats at £10 each.

Come 18th October, the cathedral will be transformed into a veritable 'Batcave,' as stars of the West End production of 'Bat Out of Hell' pay homage to Meat Loaf. With an incredible live rock band accompanying the vocalists, expect to hear classics like 'Anything For Love' and 'Two Out of Three Ain't Bad' reverberating through the stone walls.

If you've been searching for a way to experience 'Little Lies' or 'Don't Stop' in a truly unique setting, look no further. On 19th October, Fleetwood Mac gets the candlelit treatment, promising a night of hits and atmospheric tunes. This concert is pegged to be a 'landslide' event, offering a chance to hear these classics as you've never heard them before.

Nostalgia will hit its peak on 20th October with 'The Music of ABBA by Candlelight.' The UK's leading ABBA tribute act, Abba Reunion, will perform hits like 'Mamma Mia' and 'Dancing Queen,' turning Wells Cathedral into the ultimate disco cathedral. With over 20 ABBA hits lined up, you won't be able to resist dancing in the aisles.

Finally, on 21st October, the series concludes with a tribute to 'The King' himself. Elvis fans can look forward to hits like 'Jail House Rock' and 'Suspicious Minds,' in an unforgettable show featuring one of the UK's leading Elvis tribute acts, JD King.

Each concert has its own ticketing arrangement, with limited availability, and non-refundable, non-exchangeable tickets. Doors open at 6:45pm, setting the stage for evenings that blend classic rock and sublime spirituality in a not-to-be-missed series of events.

To secure your spot at these unique musical experiences, visit the respective ticketing websites as listed. With the blend of sacred architecture and classic anthems, Wells Cathedral's 'Concerts by Candlelight' are events that are certain to resonate long after the final note has been played.
