Bristol Water have confirmed that temporary traffic lights will return to Coxley for seven weeks from next month.

In a letter to residents in Coxley, the company said that two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place from March 3 to May 1 on the A39 Glastonbury Road/Main Road in the village.

Bristol Water has so far completed 2.1km of water main improvements through Coxley, to ensure residents receive a reliable water supply, and improve water pressure, odour and taste.

The work will involve replacing the connection pipes that feed homes, so water supplies might be turned off for a short period of time.

However, residents have been told they will be given 48 hours' notice of when this might be happening.

Parking along the A39 might be partially restricted during the work, and Bristol Water said that occasionally access to driveways may also be restricted.

The work is being carried out for Bristol Water by Lewis Civil Engineering.
