In the wake of the exhilarating carnival season in Wells, the city's four carnival clubs – Globe Carnival Club, Gorgons Carnival Club, Cobra Carnival Club, and Mendip Vale Carnival Club – are opening their doors for new members.

This call for enthusiasts comes as a unique opportunity for locals to become an active part of Wells' carnival tradition.

Each of these clubs plays a crucial role in the carnival scene of Wells and is known for their creativity, enthusiasm, and community spirit. Joining a carnival club is not merely about participating in the annual parade; it's about becoming part of a team dedicated to crafting spectacular carts, engaging in local events, and bringing joy and festivity to the community.

Why Join a Carnival Club?

Joining Globe, Gorgons, Cobra, or Mendip Vale offers a chance to dive into the heart of cultural festivities in Wells.

Members get involved in various aspects of carnival preparation, from cart design and construction to performance and event organization. It's an opportunity to showcase creativity, learn new skills, and work alongside people who share a passion for carnival arts.

No Experience? No Problem!

The clubs welcome individuals from all backgrounds and skill levels. Whether you're an artist, builder, performer, or simply someone with a keen interest in community events, there's a place for you. The key is a willingness to participate, learn, and contribute to the team's efforts.

How to Get Involved

For those who've watched the carnival and felt an urge to be more involved, now is the time to step forward. To join or inquire about what membership involves, interested individuals can contact Globe Carnival Club, Gorgons Carnival Club, Cobra CC, or Mendip Vale CC directly.

This is more than just being part of a group; it's about carrying forward a tradition that's at the heart of Wells' cultural identity. It's about community, creativity, and the celebration of art and craftsmanship.
