HR Advisor - Wells Cathedral - 21 - 25 hours per week - £35,000 - £40,000 FTE

The role:A Cathedral has an exciting and unique HR Advisor opportunity available now. The HR Advisor will be the first point of contact for all employee-related matters and will be responsible for ensuring the Cathedral is legally compliant with all HR processes. Although this is a stand-alone role, the HR Advisor will benefit from coaching and support from an Independent HR Consultant.

Key responsibilities:- Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Human Resource function and ensure that it delivers a high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.- Provide appropriate advice and guidance to managers on policies, procedures and employment law.- Manage and coordinate the employee relations cases across the Cathedral, ensuring consistency and fairness at all times. You will be expected to conduct meetings and take minutes where necessary.- Oversee the recruitment of all roles across the Organisation, conducting and supporting the selection process, including interviews where necessary

Who we are looking for:- You must be an excellent communicator (both written and verbal) as building relationships is crucial to this role. - You must have a comprehensive understanding of employment legislation and have the ability to apply that understanding to practical situations.- You must have experience of managing employee relations casework and not be afraid to conduct meetings on behalf of the Cathedral.- You must have a flexible approach to supporting the Cathedral and have also got experiencing with dealing with ambiguity.- Ideally you will have gained a CIPD Level 3 qualification or have equivalent experience.- You need to be able to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
