This role encompasses various aspects of college life beyond the classroom, ensuring that students have a fulfilling and enriching experience during their time at the institution.Key Responsibilities:
- Organizing Afternoon, Evening, and Weekend Activities: Plan and coordinate a diverse range of activities to engage students outside of academic hours, fostering social interaction and personal development.
- Managing Excursions & Half-Term Trips: Arrange and oversee excursions and trips, providing opportunities for cultural enrichment and experiential learning.
- Enhancing Extra-Curricular Activities: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality and variety of extra-curricular activities available to students, catering to diverse interests and preferences.
- Providing Pastoral and Academic Support: Offer additional support to students, particularly those requiring assistance in accelerating their English language learning to excel in academic subjects.
- Conducting English Language Lessons: Deliver English language lessons to short-stay groups as needed, potentially involving full-time teaching responsibilities.
- Assisting with Induction and Orientation: Contribute to the planning and delivery of induction, orientation, and registration programs for new students, ensuring a smooth transition into college life.
- Facilitating Student Voice Opportunities: Champion student voice initiatives, oversee the student council, and facilitate platforms for students to express their opinions and concerns, including involvement in food committees.
- Establishing and Monitoring Prefect System: Establish and oversee the college prefect system, providing leadership opportunities for students and fostering a sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Managing Scholarship Students: Ensure scholarship students contribute to the college community through volunteering, acknowledging their awards and promoting a culture of reciprocity.
