The London Handel Players Live at Wells Cathedral

Wells Cathedral

UNTIL Friday 22nd October

The London Handel Players are a world class ensemble bringing together leading period-instrument specialists in the field of baroque chamber music.

Praised by the New York Times for their "soulful depth" and their "consummate skill and musicianship", the London Handel Players captivate audiences across the world with their performances and recordings.

Making their debut at Handel's own parish church, St George's Hanover Square, as part of London Festival in 2000, the Players appear regularly at the leading venues and festivals in the UK, Europe and North America, performing baroque chamber music and concertos and collaborating with the world's leading singers.

From the smallest forces (duos, trios and quartets) their ensemble expands to flute/recorder with strings and harpsichord (larger-scale chamber works and concertos) to present a vast repertoire of gems from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Visit Wells Cathedral and hear the acclaimed London Handel Players perform in the shadow of Luke Jerram's Museum of the Moon.

"The playing, both individually and collectively, is impeccable."

Noel O'Regan - Early Music Review, April 2013 (Geminiani, Op.1)

Proceeds from this concert support the charitable work of Wells Cathedral.

Please note: Tickets are banded, and seats will be allocated by the Cathedral accordingly to allow for households/bubbles to be sufficiently socially distanced from each other. Thank you for patience and understanding.
