The 5th edition of WOWFest: Wells Orchestral Weekend will welcome hundreds of young musicians from around the world for a fabulous weekend of workshops and concerts from 10-13th July, with further free concerts in the City from 20th June as part of the WOWFest Fringe.

The Festival will welcome musicians from the USA, Brazil, Netherlands, UK and Ireland and will include free concerts at the Bishop's Palace, St Cuthbert's Church, Cedars Hall and St Mary Magdalene Wookey Hole. On Saturday 11th July the WOWFest Community Chorus will perform the might CARMINA BURANA alongside full symphony orchestra and professional soloists in Wells Cathedral. This edition will be preceded by a 'Fringe' concert series which will see the Preucil School String Orchestra (USA) perform a free concert at the Town Hall on Saturday 20th June at 5pm and the Arkansas Children's Choir perform a lunchtime recital in Wells Cathedral on Monday 22nd. With ensembles including choirs, string orchestras, symphony orchestras and prodigious young pianists and repertoire spanning from Brazilian folk to contemporary classical music, this festival is sure to be a treat for all music lovers!
