FREE CONCERT – WOOKEY HOLE CHURCH

As part of their UK tour and WOWFest: Wells Orchestral Weekend, the Haydn Youth String Orchestra (Netherlands) present a concert at St Mary Magdalene Church, Wookey Hole, featuring a programme of works for string orchestra.

Founded in 1989, the Haydn Youth String Orchestra is one of the leading youth string orchestras in the Netherlands, bringing together talented string players aged 12–19. The ensemble is dedicated to high-level musical development within the European string tradition and performs regularly across the Netherlands and internationally.

Programme includes works by Purcell, Vaughan Williams, Mendelssohn, Elgar, Bach, Handel, Bloch, and Shostakovich.
