West Mendip Walkers moderate 11.8 mile circular walk from Wrington Chapel (BS40 5NH) with 1,100 feet of ascent. We start by heading north up Bullhouse Lane before taking a meandering westerly footpath through Water Catch and the Westerly part of Corporation Woods. We then head in a northerly direction through King's Wood before crossing the outskirts of Cleeve and up onto Cleeve Toot, an Iron Age hillfort, and Cleeve Combe. From there we head in an easterly direction towards Warren House and Goblin Combe before heading south past Spying Copse and Pine Farm and through Prestow Wood with a short road walk back to Wrington Chapel. Dog friendly.

Thursday 11th January

West Mendip Walkers moderate 10.5mile circular walk from Holford Green (TA5 1SA). The walk is a clockwise loop via Higher Hare Knapp and Black Hill taking in Halsway Post, Beacon Hill and Quantock's Head. The route aims to follow ridges where possible with potential to divert to combes in some places in the event of bad weather. Total ascent 460m (1,509ft). Dog friendly.

Thursday 18th January

West Mendip Walkers moderate 8 mile circular walk starting from car park at top of Burrington Combe (BS450 7TZ). From the car park we climb up Black Down to Beacon Batch, then down to Rowberrow Warren where we then join the limestone link before climbing to Doleberry Warren. The walk heads back towards Burrington and along the way we climb to Burrington Ham and finally descend to our starting point.

Thursday 25th January

West Mendip Walkers strenuous 8 mile circular walk from Ash Lane, Wells (BA5 2LS). The walk starts by following the Mendip Way towards Wookey Hole, going through quarry on Milton Hill to Lime Kiln Lane and Wookey Hole. Walk continues through village to Wookey Hole Caves Entrance to a footpath on right where we then climb through woods to fields with Smokeham Woods on our right. We come to a wooded escarpment and finally to open land on top of the Mendips. The route then takes us in a westerly direction to Ebor Gorge. We make our way through Ebbor Wood to open fields and follow a footpath to Durston Drove and Higher Pitts Farm and back towards Rookham finally descending to Tynings Lane and on through Manor Farm, Upper Milton to Milton Lodge and back to our starting point.
