The eagerly anticipated Wells Food Festival is back for its thirteenth year, providing another day of free foodie adventures for the whole family.
Set in the medieval heart of Wells, England's smallest city, the festival is set to be a jam-packed celebration of Somerset's rich farming and food heritage.
In the Artisan Market, 200 producers and street food sellers will be selling their creative, culinary delights. Gastronomic treats await with everything from dim sum to traditional Somerset cheddar, washed down with a range of drinks from kombucha to locally distilled gin.
Feature areas for 2025 include Food for Thought, an area dedicated to chewing over some food-related issues including Sustainability, Innovation and Food & Community with input from organisations and charities including Charles Dowding, FareShare and the Beyond Belief Brewing Co . The Celebrating English Wine marquee makes a welcome return, and for younger visitors, the Children's Zone will feature innovative street food stalls for smaller appetites, Little Joe's Kitchen children's free pop-up cookery school and 'The School of Fish' free cookery workshops for adults.
