Medieval Banquet Night 2024

This February, a night of medieval merriment is on offer at The Bishop's Palace in Wells. 

Guests to the medieval-themed banquet night on Friday 23rd February (7pm) will cross the drawbridge to enter the Palace where a roaring log fire, welcome drink and evening of fine dining and medieval entertainment awaits. 

A three-course medieval-themed banquet will be served in our medieval vaulted Undercroft accompanied by musical entertainment.

All dishes will be served to the table on sharing platters and will be shared between a table of 6 diners.

All guests will be seated at our communal long wooden banqueting tables as fitting for a medieval feast. You will be seated alongside other diners so please be aware that serving dishes will be shared with other parties unless you book as a party of 6 or 12.

Medieval costumes are encouraged for the event (some costumes will also be provided which can be tried on for photo opportunities).

If booking individually as part of a larger party, please could you let us know the lead name of your party so that we can seat you all together.

Guests will be seated on wooden benches, a small number of chairs are available for people who are physically unable to sit at a bench, these must be requested before the event and will not be available to be added on the night – Please email [email protected] to request.
