Wells Golf Club Head Professional Terry Williams is celebrating after receiving an award from the Professional Golfers Association.
Terry, aged 46, landed the award for developing the game in region at the West Region PGA annual general meeting held at The Kendleshire, Bristol.
Wells Tennis Club player Mark Preston will represent Somerset at Wimbledon this summer.
On Saturday, Mark won the county final beating competition from across Somerset at the Lawn Tennis Association's largest national junior competition, The Road to Wimbledon. He will take part in the final tournament with a day out at the famous courts in August.

The leisure centre in Wells will see its swimming pool and gym re-open next month following the coronavirus crisis.
The pool, exercise classes and gym at Wells Sport and Fitness will all re-open on Monday September 14.

More than 30 key workers have signed up for a free summer of tennis thanks to an offer launched by Wells Tennis Club.
In June, the club invited key workers to join the club at no cost for three months or until the end of September, whichever is earlier.
