Wells City Archers (WCA) is incredibly proud to announce that they now have a UK Champion in their membership. Richard Gregory took part in the Archery Great Britain (AGB) National Championships on Saturday 1st August, to gain the title of National 50+ Longbow Champion for 2026.

Richard, originally from Yorkshire took up archery in 2019 and started specialising in the Long Bow in the Spring of 2024. He joined WCA in 2023 and has been a rising star at the club, taking part in a variety of county and national competitions and is currently ranked in the top 10 in the UK for Longbow. Over the last 12 months he has spent roughly 10 hours per week refining his skills at WCA's outdoor and indoor range.
