Fire in bin store at Wookey Hole Road, Wells

Crews from Wells were mobilised to reports of a fire in the open at the above location.
On arrival  crews discovered a fire involving a bin store at the rear of a property.
Crews used one hose reel and one breathing apparatus set to extinguish the fire and Positive Pressure Ventilation to clear the smoke from the property.
The bin and the contents were completely destroyed by the fire with the compound fifty per cent damaged by the fire.

Leaders from authorities across the Heart of the South West (HotSW) are calling on Government to help them play a greater role in getting ready for the impacts of Brexit.

The HotSW Joint Committee, which represents 23 authorities and organisations across Devon and Somerset, met at the end of November. It has been working on creating a framework of support for businesses and communities post-Brexit and had written to James Brokenshire asking for more support and information.
