Wells businesses could be receiving a boost as Mendip District Council has announced the launch of a new Local Authority Discretionary Grant fund.

The purpose of this Government funding is to provide additional support for some of those small businesses not covered by the current schemes.

A planning application has been submitted to Mendip District Council for the conversion of a barn into a home in Masbury.

The application for prior approval for a proposed change of use of agricultural building to a dwellinghouse (Class C3) on land at Thrupe Lane, Masbury, has been made by Andrew Wyatt.
