It's a musical weekend in Wells, with everything from local rock band Driftwood at a special anniversary concert, and souful singer songwriter Robyn Gordon at the King's Head, to a a brass chamber group, and organ recital and a performance of the Rutter Requiem.

Rutter Requiem - Stanford Songs of the Fleet

Somerset Choral Society and Brandon Hill Chamber Orchestra come together to perform the much loved Rutter Requiem with soloist - Maria Danishvar.

Onyx Brass

Onyx was founded in 1983 as an approachable yet seriously virtuosic brass chamber group.

Onyx's concert will include commissions by Emily Hall and Jason Rebello plus music by Couperin and Shostakovich and they will also be joined by young brass students for the William Tell Overture for massed brass and Duke Ellington's C Jam Blues.

An informal pre-concert performance by Wells Cathedral School brass players will be given at 6pm.

Freewheelers Evs 30th Anniversary Concert

A concert celebrating the 30th anniversary of the local blood bike group featuring local rock band, Drifftwood and the Bristol Concert Wind Band, playing a variety of music. The evening will be compered by patron and Points West presenter, Alex Lovell.

David Briggs Gala Organ Recital

Internationally-renowned organist, David Briggs, performs a Gala Organ Recital in aid of The Friends of Wells Cathedral Grand Organ Appeal
