Start your weekend on a musical note with the Last Night of the Proms, brought to you by The Friends of Wells Cathedral. This light-hearted and popular concert features celebratory works by the Cathedral Oratorio Society, some show-case organ pieces and audience participation in the great "Last Night" traditions. The concert will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 7:00 pm at Wells Cathedral. Tickets are priced at £16.96 and can be purchased through Eventbrite.

Local Book Launch - Molly's First Festival

Join us for the Somerset-based book launch event of "Molly's First Festival" at Bronwyn's Baby, a parent-and-baby space on Wells high street. Expect a reading, book signing, festival-themed crafts for the kids, and a free copy of Juno, the natural parenting magazine. The event will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 11:00 am.

Tom Ollendorff Trio

Experience an evening of exquisite jazz music with the Tom Ollendorff Trio at Cedars Hall on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Known for his virtuosic guitar playing, Tom Ollendorff is one of the most exciting young jazz guitarists around. Exhibition of Photographic Art

Take a deep dive into the world of photography at the Wells and Mendip Museum from June 7 to June 24, 2023. The exhibition features two local photographers, Rose Atkinson ARPS with her award-winning series: "Essence of Wells" and Tina Westcott ARPS presenting two series: "Nature's Reclamation of the Disused Quarries of Mendip" and "The Water's Edge".

Concert In Aid Of The Royal British Legion for the Poppy Appeal

Wrap up Concert In Aid Of The Royal British Legion for the Poppy Appeal your weekend with a meaningful concert on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at 7:00 pm (doors open 6.30 pm) at The Bishop Palace. This concert features The Warminster Military Wives Choir and aims to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal. Tickets for adults are priced at £15, while tickets for children under 17 are priced at £10.
