Avon and Somerset Police are launching their 'Walk and Talk' initiative in Wells, inviting women to share their local insights to promote safety.

Women in Wells will have the chance to walk with a female police officer or PCSO, showing them areas in which they feel threatened or uncomfortable.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "This initiative provides a platform for women in Wells to actively contribute to their community's safety.

"We hope to build trust and understanding, and the 'Walk and Talk' program allows us to connect with residents on a personal level. Together, we can make Wells a safer place for everyone."

If you are a woman aged 18 or over living in Wells and would like to help shape this initiative, please reach out to [email protected].
