A 15-year-old netball star who goes to school in Wells is doing what she loves - and playing super fair - to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Incredibly she is also undertaking the challenge just weeks after breaking her thumb.

Madison Lewis is in the Somerset County netball squad, so according to her Dad, she: "lives and breathes netball."

Previously at Oakhill School, she is now at Wells Cathedral where she is a specialist mathematics pupil.

Her aim is to shoot thousands of netball goals to raise money for the charity, which has seen funding slump during coronavirus.

And true to her sense of fair play, she is only counting the shots that actually go in. So as of today (May 1) she is up to 1,000.

Madison has set a target of completing 2,600 shots for the 2,600 Netball Challenge - a variation on the 2.6 Challenge.

She is managing to complete up to 150 in quick succession in spite of her injury.

Madison has already smashed her fundraising target but is hoping to raises even more so you can donate to Madison's appeal via her Just Giving site.
