Wells St Cuthbert result in the Mendip District Council elections 2019

The Liberal Democrats have taken both Wells St Cuthbert's seats from the Conservatives in the Mendip District Council elections 2019.

Rob Ayres topped the polls with 670 votes, with fellow Lib Dem Laura Jayne Waters taking the other seat with 635 votes.

The sitting Conservative councillors John Derek Osman and Harvey Siggs lost out by getting 591 votes and 553 votes respectively.

The Labour Party's Jennifer Anne Williams received 247 votes and the turnout was 42.3 per cent.
