Two roads in Wells will be closed this week for pedestrian crossing improvements, Somerset Council has confirmed.

Southover will be shut from Monday, 26 January for two days. The Cloisters will then close from Wednesday, 28 January, also for two days. Both schemes are being carried out by Kier on behalf of Somerset Highways.

Access for emergency services will be maintained throughout both closures, the council says.

The works are being delivered under Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs) which took effect from 21 January. The official reference numbers are ttro974489E for Southover and ttro079227E for The Cloisters.

Anyone seeking more information is advised to contact Somerset Highways on 0300 123 2224, quoting the relevant reference.
