Wells has been ranked as the best city in the UK for customer service.

In July, The Institute of Customer Service revealed that the UK has seen the highest number of customer complaints since records began. But a new study has discovered that Wells is bucking the trend, as it is the best city in the UK for customer service, with the politest and nicest staff in the country.

StandOut CV analysed over 784,000 customer reviews across the country to review how many times common positive and negative phrases appeared in customer reviews in each city across a range of businesses.

• Wells was rated as the best city in the UK for customer service with the highest percentage of positive reviews out of any city.
• Wells was also ranked second best in the UK for hospitality businesses, beaten only by Ripon, Yorkshire.
• The best city for positive retail customer service was Wells with the highest percentage of positive reviews, followed by York.
• Wells also ranked as the 10th best city for hairdressers and barbers.
