With the Wells Food Festival just weeks away, there's still time for young photographers to enter the festival's exciting new Photography Competition. Sponsored by Wells Cathedral School, the competition is open to those aged 18 and under, with a theme of Apples & Fruit.

Winners will not only receive some fantastic prizes but will also see their work displayed in the Town Hall during the festival on Sunday, 13th October.

Set to be the biggest yet, the Wells Food Festival will feature 200 stands of creative and culinary delights, showcasing the region's finest food and drink producers. The Artisan Market will span from the Recreation Ground along the Moat, through the Market Place and Town Hall, and extend down the High Street, which will be closed to traffic for the day.

In addition to the market, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, including the Food for Thought marquee, focusing on food-related social issues, and the Celebration of English Wine marquee, where local vineyards will offer tastings and insights into their award-winning wines. For younger festival-goers, the Children's Zone will offer fun, hands-on activities, including cooking sessions by Fun Kitchen.

To enter the Photography Competition, aspiring photographers must submit their photos by 29th September to [email protected]. Don't miss the chance to have your work showcased at this celebrated festival!
