A cleaning firm from Wells has launched a crowd-funder to help change the life of a local man.

The Sleek Easy Clean offers hazard and specialist cleaning services, and has been approached for help by a man in crisis.

The man lost his family in a car crash and is suffering with emotional health problems. As his mental health spiralled, so did his ability to care for himself and his home. He approached Sleek Easy Clean for help, and they have turned to the community.

"While we'd love to cover all the costs, due to the severity of what needs doing this just isn't possible," said Laura Summers, from Sleek Easy Clean. The Gofundme has already raised £970 of a £2,000 goal.

As well as the clean and disposal of bio hazardous waste and two skips worth of items, the money will go towards a providing a new kitchen, flooring, heating, water and furniture for the man.

"This person sadly suffers with mental health difficulties, which in turn has led to alcoholism," continued Laura.

"He's taking the massive leap to get help, he's going into rehab and he has asked us to be a part of this journey by helping him with a clean space to return to when he starts his new chapter in sobriety.

"He needs our help to turn his life around and we just want to prove to him people are here to help and he's not by himself."

The company has already carried out some work on the property, but there's still a long way to go.

If you're willing and able to help, you can find the Gofundme here.
