Wells Election 2020 - St Thomas' Ward candidates revealed

Mendip District Council has published details of the upcoming election for St Thomas' Ward in Wells.

Two people will be elected to Wells City Council in the election, from a choice of six. Both the Labour Party candidates had their nomination refused by Mendip.

In alphabetical order of surname, the candidates are:

Peter Nicholas Harlow, Green Party, address listed as being in Mendip District.

Rachel Humphreys, Liberal Democrats, lives in Wookey Hole Road, Wells.

Sebastian Alexander Johns, Conservative Party, lives in Sandford Gardens, Wells.

Joe Parker, Liberal Democrats, lives in West Horrington.

Sarah Caroline Powell, Wells Independents, address listed as being in Mendip District.

David Swain, Conservative Party, lives in Welsford Avenue, Wells.

Charlie Dart and Eileen Vivian Webber were both nominated by the Labour Party, but their nominations were refused by Mendip, who stated: "That the particulars of the candidate or the

persons subscribing the paper are not as required by law."
