Wells City Carnival has smashed its fundraising target this year, raising an incredible total of £17,803.72.

The carnival, a much-loved highlight in the city's calendar, initially reported a grand total of £17,420.35 from donations collected during the event and additional donations pushed the final figure even higher, demonstrating the community's overwhelming generosity.

While the original total was used to determine the winner of this year's fundraising competition, the additional donations reflect the ongoing success of the carnival in bringing people together and supporting local causes.

Organisers have expressed their gratitude to everyone who donated, participated, and supported the event, which continues to be a vital source of funding for community initiatives in Wells.

The carnival's success highlights the city's strong community spirit and the dedication of those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make it such a memorable occasion.
