From Saturday (May 28), Wells Cathedral will be hosting an exhibition of photographs by well-know local photogrpaher Jason Bryant, commemorating the Queen's visits to Somerset.

Freelance photographer Jason Bryant has been a photographer since 1997. The 48-year-old from Shepton Mallet began his career working for the Mid Somerset Series and now supplies regular content to the national press. Taking photographs of the Queen and the Royals has always been a regular part of his job.

Jason says: "I love the Queen, what an amazing lady! The effect that she has on the general public has to be seen to be believed; the excitement generated during a visit is only equalled by an American president, which usually has more helicopters, more flashing lights and the security staff look more scary.

"I have covered a few Queen's Birthday parades, many visits to Somerset and the D-Day anniversaries in France. I would like to wish the Queen a Happy Jubilee and thank Project Factory for arranging the exhibition and the beautiful Wells Cathedral for hosting it."

Jason is also having a Glastonbury Festival exhibition at the Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury starting on June 10.
